STATEN ISLAND: Willowbrook Archery Range Is The Only Free, Public Archery Feild In NYC

GRAND REOPENING: New York City Parks staff made improvements to the archery field.

Here are some of the improvements made:

• installed a catch basin and drainage to eliminate ponding and mud
• upgraded the signage
• aerated and reseeded the field
• made the field ADA accessible
• reconfigured the fencing at the entrance to improve visibility and access to the Greenbelt’s White Trail

The field is open for public archery use daily from 9 a.m. until sunset.

The field also serves as an off-leash area between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., which dogs and their owners greatly appreciate.
