NEW YORK CITY: 9/11 Tribute Museum Closes Its Doors

LOWER MANHATTAN (NEW YORK CITY) NY: The 9/11 Tribute Museum in Lower Manhattan has closed its doors permanently.

The September 11th Families' Association founded the 9/11 Tribute Museum, 

There was a sharp decline in visitors and revenue even before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The number of visitors had dropped from more than 500,000 in 2011 to just 26,000 last year.

The not for profit is millions of dollars in debt and their current revenue can't cover theirr lease and operating cost without visitors.
