DAILY NEWS: Nearly 50 CUNY students join Eric Adams’ transition team
Dozens of CUNY students are getting the chance to share their input on city policy priorities through a program that places them on Mayor-elect Eric Adams’ transition team.
The intern program, which includes nearly 50 students from the city’s public university, gives participants experience working on public policy while ensuring that the voices of young New Yorkers are included in the incoming mayor’s team, students said.
“Everything we do at City Hall must be done with future generations in mind — and so it is essential and appropriate that our talented young women and men from CUNY are part of creating our new mayoral administration,” said Adams, a graduate of CUNY’s John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
