COVID: New Yorkers will soon be able to receive a PCR test by mail, and get results in 48 hours

STATEN ISLAND ADVANCE: If you’re having trouble getting a coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test, you’ll soon be able to do it in your own home, and have the results mailed back within 48 hours.

Governor Kathy Hochul said Monday that her administration will be bringing online a testing portal where New York residents can order an at-home PCR test.

“They’ll be mailed overnight mail, you swab yourself, and put it back in the pre-paid envelope and you get your results within 48 hours,” officials said.
