QUEENS: Some NYCHA Residents Say They've Been Without Hot Water For Months

Carleton Manor Houses residents say every morning and boil water on their stove so they can brush their teeth and shower before school and work.

Queens Borough President Donovan Richards and other local elected officials are now calling on New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) to allow the tenants dealing with these issues not to pay rent through at least May.

NYCHA says 40 units remain without hot water, which is about 30% of the building....
