MANHATTAN: A Woman Was found Dead After NYPD Arrested A Man Who Barricaded Himself In An Apartment

NYPD officials say Christina Yuna Lee had gotten out of a cab, and at some point, the suspect followed the victim.

He entered her building and followed her up six flights of stairs.

Neighbors then heard her screaming and called 911.

Officers found a man who barricaded their access to the inside of the apartment.

When officers entered the apartment, they found Lee stabbed to death in her bathtub.

A knife was also found at the scene.

The suspect, Assamad Nash, 25 was caught trying to get away down the fire escape.

Assamad Nash, 25, was taken into custody. Charges are pending.

The police say Nash has been arrested at least seven times since 2015

The most recent incident being January 6, 2022.
