FORT WADSWORTH (STATEN ISLAND) NYC: The grandson of former Staten Island president James Molinaro has now been charged with attempted murder after he was busted with 100 pounds of pot following a shooting.

Police were called on reports of a shooting and then discovered a young woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest and she was rushed to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze on 89 Lyman Avenue.

The wounded 22-year-old woman is believed to be Molinaro’s girlfriend and is in critical but stable condition.

A 9mm pistol was found nearby.

Steven Molinaro, 33, who lives at the home where the shooting occurred, and Almir Ramic, 34, of the 700 block of Nugent Avenue in Midland Beach, were both initially charged with felony criminal possession of marijuana.

Ramic currently only faces drug charges.
