JAMAICA (QUEENS) NYC: A belligerent blonde bag lady carrying a super-sized handbag is tagged as bruiser after she walloped a 26-year-old woman in a hate-filled clash that began on a Q56 bus, police said Friday.
The victim told police that she was riding the bus when she got into an argument with the suspect.
She got off the bus at 147th Place and Jamaica Avenue, but the blonde followed her, then hit her with her bag, bruising her.
The stranger screamed a litany of anti-Hispanic slurs at the woman before running off, the NYPD was told.
EMS rushed the victim to Jamaica Hospital, where she was treated and released.
Police on Friday released surveillance images of the blonde attacker and said anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is urged to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
All calls will be kept confidential.
The woman is described as white, between 30 and 40 years old, with long blonde hair and a medium build.
She was last seen wearing a purple vest, a black netted shirt, black leggings, black sandals and sunglasses.
The incident was one of two anti-Hispanic attacks the NYPD investigated in Queens that day.
In Jackson Heights, a 51-year-old man was bashed with a pipe and robbed by an unhinged assailant who screamed “I hate all Spanish! I’m going to kill you!” as he brought his weapon down on his victim’s head, the NYPD said in a release.
The raging suspect ran off with the victim’s wallet and $10. No arrests have been made.
The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is looking into both cases.
Hate crimes against Hispanics have nearly tripled this year, according to NYPD statistics.
